Collaborative research efforts between Heidelberg University and Khon Kaen University

On January 9, 2025 partners from the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH), led by Dr. Kate Bärnighausen, visited Khon Kaen University (KKU) in Thailand to showcase the PANDA project and explore new research opportunities.

A key highlight of the visit was the meeting with KKU’s President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phanthongviriyakul, where discussions focused on expanding academic partnerships and fostering innovative global health initiatives between the institutions.

In addition, Dr. Bärnighausen and her team conducted an engaging workshop on qualitative research methods, offering KKU students hands-on learning and a good preparation to the fieldwork in Nan province.
